We'd absolutely hear @EpicGames / @TimSweeneyEpic out if they were interested in having Ira. We'd love to be part of the Epic store. Point taken though. We'd have to weigh out the pros and cons just like any other developer.

Hence those TOS prevent developers from working with key resellers with lower than 30% fees so as to pass on the savings to customers.

Only problem is your math. It's the same as your store and prices which doesn't reflect lower fees to customer. If a 30$ game is sold on Steam, it could be sold on http://itch.io for 30$ and the publisher will get 27$.

I see several games that are also on steam. So http://itch.io doesn't enforce exclusivity which is my main problem with EGS. Regarding rev share, its good that devs get more but do i have to sacrifice my freedom of choice and privilege as a customer?

I didn't checked all, but it look that many games sold on http://itch.io are also available on Steam (https://itch.io/games/steam-key ) For the 3 games I read they are all provided with a Steam key if bought onhttp://itch.io

You're arguing with the industry standard! But you're aiming at Steam coz they are the market leader on the weakest platform which makes Steam vulnerable to people with tonnes of spare cash like you! Go after the consoles somehow, I'd love to see that!

Epic spending their shit ton of money investing on a platform good enough to take on the console competition? That is one thing I'd like to see.

By the end, PC sales numbers are inconsequential to the success of a videogame. RDR2 didn't even release on PC & was still a gigantic success! PC didn't even need to play a factor, you can't change the industry standard by going after Steam, sales figures & audience is too small!

If a game sells only a million copies on Steam it's considered a big success, if it sells only a million copies on any of the consoles it's considered a horrible failure! Steam changing revenue split won't make MS/Sony budge & you know it! Stop going after Steam! Be a good store!
