Of course that’s just a short term evolution. Ultimately, we’d love to work with all platforms and stores to create protocol and file format standards for social features, so devs can support all without integrating numerous APIs.

I think that in that part it would be a good idea for trying to discuss about it with GOG, Steam, http://Itch.io , Discord, UPlay, Origin ... So that EGS not need to build the API multiple times if at a moment everyone try to work together to make it generic.

In the social part, it look like there is lacking the possibility to send/retrieve the message but there is a way to have the friend list. We can hope that GOG Galaxy 2 will make friends available without the need to open the others stores.
