We'd absolutely hear @EpicGames / @TimSweeneyEpic out if they were interested in having Ira. We'd love to be part of the Epic store. Point taken though. We'd have to weigh out the pros and cons just like any other developer.

It's very "surprising" that someone will be criticized for not fulfill their marketing promises. But that criticism is amplified only by EGS "funding" strategy and have absolutely nothing with logical "restrictions" to not provide distribution for games not released on platform.

No, it was amplified by Metro Exodus, Shenmue 3 and Mechwarrior 5. Metro was an unfortunate accident, Shenmue 3 was an incident and Mechwarrior 5 was an utter disaster entirely caused by their own developers.

You do realize that You are the reason for the backlash correct? No developer shipped exclusively to a storefront on PC until Epic started paying devs to specifically not go to Steam. It's you deceptive and underhanded ways that caused consumers to lose trust in developers
