Hi Mark, we’re still in the early, hand-curated days of the Epic Games store where we can only accommodate a small number of releases. See the launch announcement:https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/blog/announcing-the-epic-games-store …

Limit the game's exposure to only 1 launcher open up what possibilities? Especially for indie title, expose to as many places as possible is the best way to get people buying it. Right now, all the exposure that EGS exclusive indie game is just bad PR and people hating on it.

Healthy competition: Devs, games, stores, launchers, money, players Epic's competition: Devs, games, EGS, money Nothing in your argument benefit the players who actually will pay to play

At the expense of the consumers ability to make a reasonable choice in where they have to keep there games. After 6 months a large potion of hype has come and gone, not to mention attempting to avoid spoilers for that long. Epic just wants money nothing else matters.

Sounds like the Epic store is a poor platform if they can't offer a title they originally wanted to sell exclusively. I honestly have a very hard time believing Tim's reasoning, sounds more like fiction to me.

Closed = open in the mind of Tim Sweeney it seems, you should be opening up PC gaming not locking it down behind your own walled garden for ages until customers crack, stop turning developers against customers, stop damaging the trust that developers had with their supporters

You mean like the marketing efforts for Metro:Exodus, Division 2 & Anno 1800, that were advertised on STEAM & became last minute exclusive to EGS? Bait & switch, yeah I see those benefits.
