Hi Mark, we’re still in the early, hand-curated days of the Epic Games store where we can only accommodate a small number of releases. See the launch announcement:https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/blog/announcing-the-epic-games-store …

Bringing in new users is a major part of the strategy, generally through a combination of exclusivity, development funding, and marketing assistance or marketing funding so that there’s a significant alignment of Epic and developer interests in reaching new users.

Sometimes, based on how these exclusivity deal is done, I feel that this is just a ploy to avoid fortnite taxes and each exclusive games.

You forgot a word. "Exclusivity is /the/ one factor we consider" At least when it comes to indie games.

I don't have your numbers, so perhaps you see something I do not in them which makes the trade off worth it. HOWEVER, from the outside looking in it seems the exclusives have done a serious disservice to Epic's reputation. I hope you guys find another way to build out this store

The store will never be open widely. You (and devs) aren't looking to really sell games, just get players to install spyware I suppose. Why ask for permissions to scrape your data? Whoo needs that!
