Is it right to guess that Humble specifically is a partner with EGS games because the Humble widget can potentially allow devs a ~95% cut if they can sell keys there?

Is there any reason more devs cannot be allowed to do a simultaneous Steam/EGS/every other pc store launch?
-
The store will be opening up more widely over time as we build in more automation for developers to submit games and maintain their product pages, and as we build more useful curation and search functionality for surfacing a larger catalog of games.

Include lying and false promise. If they just "add" EGS as an option, no one care. That's why you pay big money to make the games not on Steam since this create noises, bad PR is better than no PR right?
-
Beside the split "reason", I see no argument why your exclusive is good for the customers and PC gaming community.

At least in the case of MechWarrior 5, according to their AMA, as I stated before and was further clarified by linking the SidAlpha video on the topic, one of the developers has stated that the deal was signed in April. And like I said before, honesty is the best policy

They know if they immediately announce the Epic exclusive, it will hurt their sales and got tones of bad press. The publisher wants people to order more while thinking they can get it on Steam and hope some of them will be kind enough to not refund when their Steam copy is gone.

The decision to move to the "epic" store appears when they see the money, they knew about it for months and dodged questions about exclusivity, some even still making customers believe it'd be released even multistore, but remembering you "there's not such right for users" right?

I'm ok about the developers having the choice... But I'm not when we use it as an excuse after a long promotion time and sometimes some "bonus money". In my view it look more like an abuse of another system breaking the promise at the end and that is bad !

In these cases there must had been meetings between ysnet, pgi and epic with the intent to take exclusivity deal in exchange for money while lying to those who preorders around the time of the meeting that they will get steam key. Isn't this count as fraud?
-
it is fraud. everyone kows it. but unless gamers sue the publishers and Epic games for their willful fraudulent actions it's just going to continue.
@TimSweeneyEpic doesn't care that he has killed all PC Games on kickstarter and his greed is killing the entire industry.
