I should take the time to state that this is not malice towards the individuals who work for Epic or PGI. The root of the problem is @TimSweeneyEpic and his dishonest, anti-consumer tactics, and everyone else is just collateral damage in an attempt to get him to listen for once.

I’m listening, I just don’t agree with you. I believe that PC store exclusives are a reasonable strategy for a new store with an 88/12 revenue split in favor of developers to compete against an established 70/30 store with over 90% market share.

That's not competition, Tim. That's monopolizing. Instead of buying other games to sell on ONLY your store, why not spend that money to make your store more desirable, or, dare I say it, produce your own damn games? The fact that you have to buy popular games for your store

We’re doing all of those things, but they take varying amounts of time to complete. There’s a limit to how quickly Epic can spend money to accelerate features, as there’s a limited number of developers with the right expertise, and it takes time to find, hire, and onboard more.

So you would rather stoop so low as to bully consumers into using your unfinished product than spend the time to finish your launcher? Your company can survive without this, Fortnite rakes in thousands if not millions.

Would you apply those adjectives to exclusive products available on Steam, Origin, Netflix, or Amazon Prime Video though? These are all cases where a company funds all or part of the development of a product in exchange for exclusivity, to establish or grow their ecosystem.

Good morning! The split is 88/12. We fixed the bug in displaying order history that limited it to 90 days, and we now include free games in order history. All other investigated cases of missing free games turned out to be the result of accidentally having multiple accounts.

We’ll be making further improvements to reduce duplicate account creation. Cloud Saves are live for several games and will expand soon. Other features are coming. And Fortnite is going strong. The most recent in-game event came close to its all-time peak concurrency record.

We’ve worked with partners to release some significant sales data and we have taken the desire for more detailed numbers to heart, but it’s not something we can do quickly or without partner permission.

Any comments on MechWarriors 5 getting 700 refund requests one day after EGS exclusivity announcement?
