That’s not how investment works. Epic investors like Tencent don’t have any access to Epic customer data.

That's a good move, although the aim is to gather UE4 adoption for a 12% or 5% cut (if they release on EGS vs if they don't) It's a business post but a positive one if out of this comes a worth playing game. the platform looks more feature rich than EGS thats good...for devs

"Richer devs mean better games" that's based around what's called "Trickle Down Economics" it's a talking point used to justify lowering taxes for the rich & powerful.Time & again it's shown not to work. We see it all the time, EA's stinking rich but they still put out bad games!

He said "instead", not "and". Epic's grants are good, but considering the conditions of who can receive a grant + your actions as of late. I find it hard to believe that this is an act of generosity, but rather an act to simply spread your business.

Exactly! This is a $100 million PR budget to promote Unreal Engine. Nothing philanthropic here.

"If your project is built in another engine or toolset and you want to move it to UE4, you are eligible to apply for an Epic MegaGrant" is this count as philantrophist act? More like political donation to me.
