Hey @TimSweeneyEpic what’s your beef with Linux
-
-
Music to our ears! Do you have any rough estimate when we might be able to use this? We're longing for some games that rely on EAC. Anything we Linux gamers could do to support or help?
-
Yeah opening up the beta to more Linux users would be likely help given the seemingly limitless combination of desktop and hardware and software combinations found on Linux. I mean there’s a handful of audio stacks alone.

Well that bodes well. If a bit game studio like Epic can get Linux binaries for triple A games maybe other shops will follow and we won’t need the (albeit amazing work of Wine folks) wine project for games.

Is there any update on this? I don't think Epic realizes the fact that Linux users have been proven to actually be MORE willing to contribute money than Windows/Mac users, there's plenty of money to be had. Was the
@LutrisGaming grant at all related to this? -
It seems like pretty much every
@EpicGames game works absolutely fine with Wine/Proton aside from the EAC, so once that's working, we will be able to play pretty much anything y'all got.

There are some new information related to EAC integration with Proton ? Like other peoples saying, some games are working after few asking. Why is that ? Why not only activate it as default ?
