From the things I use on constantly, game will not have: Achievements Cloud Saves Trading Cards User Guides Family Share Remote Play Yeah, on EGS will be an inferior product.

Product is the same, store features are not a part of the product.

Achievements, Cloud Saves and Trading Cards are all part of the Steamworks Suite for the Devs, it´s indeed part of the product.

There’s another complicating factor: many of those features are tied to Steam and only work for games run through the Steam client, so no multi-store support (except through Steam key sales), no PC/console/mobile cross-platform support, etc.

That’s using the developer’s cross-platform friend system rather than the Steam friends system, which only supports PC games launched by the Steam client.

I just dont get the point you are making with that, its not a steam's mission to cross-platform every game on earth and it still doesnt justify why your store lacks everything steam have

It will make more sense by this time next year. The old model of stores and consoles is that they provide a big bundle of services but they’re all locked down to only work within their ecosystem. The new model is interoperability of games across stores and platforms.

Dauntless is an early third-party example. Yes, it’s exclusive to Epic Games store on PC, but your progress and friends work across all platforms. Other games of this sort will be non-Epic-exclusive, and will provide features like friends and cloud saves that work everywhere.

Valve locking down features like friends so they only work through Steam is the primary reason past independent PC stores failed to gain major traction. The same multiplayer game was inferior on other stores because of the feature lockdown. “Epic is bad for taking these Steam features away from us” is a catchy meme, but the real problem is that Valve locked down their social ecosystem features like friends to Steam and tied it to their 30% tax to lock gamers and developers into a single store.

There you go again, Valve didn´t lock anything, they provide features for they Plataform as any plataform holder does. You calling a "Tax" don´t change the fact that they provide means to get 100%.

Lol you talk as if all PC games need your "store-neutral" cross-platform features. Like, why would I need cross-play to play Obervation? You are trying so hard to use 2 or 3 pro-dev features of EGS to deny the existence of all the advantages Steam has compared to your Store.

And you also know Steam has an open community API that allows other parties to access Steam friends, which EGS uses to import Steam friends. How is that called "locked?"
