If you want to criticize the EGS, please do it for actual valid reasons. The whole "spyware" bit was pretty much made up - someone will use this argument to dismiss whatever fair criticism you may have. Heads up!

Just no, if people want to talk shit about the EGS they shall do it for whichever reason they want, even if untrue.

As Winston Churchill said, everyone’s entitled to a separate opinion, but not separate facts!

Epic will never match steam features and service for customers thus they are profitable with 12%. Fact or opinion?

Would you consider it sensible to allow other users of other platforms to import their libraries into your own store including with statistics like achievements and are you opposed to making the Epic Games Store open-source?

Yes, we’re all for standards that enable our store and others to sync up purchases, achievements, and friends under user control. And no, we’re not opponents of open source. UE4 source is available to everyone for free.

We haven’t made our launcher code available as open source so far as it’s evolving rapidly and hasn’t reached nearly the maturity of UE4 as a platform for other developers to fork and build on. But perhaps in the future!

What’s more important in the next couple of years isn’t so much an open code base (as there’s nothing magical there as there is in a 3D engine) but agreement on protocols and data formats for stores and ecosystems to broadly interoperate.

I have a question on this topic, would you create a program similar to GOG Connect, where one can redeem games that they can confirm they own on other platforms to use on the Epic platform?Because that is what you are describing and honestly,I'm game. That'd be a good step forward
