OK, without further context, I'm going to have to say trash this. Pick up a half-decent markdown parser and fetch a beer. Only because no sane person would want to code this way. And if you're just feeling sadistic, then force them to code in Brainfuck,

Knuth’s TeX syntax has a lot of merit but the drawback is that it’s based on weird variable-parameter text processing macros and doesn’t embed nicely in a traditional programming language.
