If I'm not mistaken, I remember seeing your policy prohibits them from selling on other PC platforms, as well prohibits them from selling by 3rd party retailers, until recently you only "allowed them" to sell on 3rd party retailers that you "chosen", and have to be for Epic. 2/2

I understand as much, but so far we haven't seen Valve, Deep Silver or Ys Net make any statements confirming such a policy is indeed the issue here. And unless I'm mistaken, you've also not received 100% confirmation that Valve is indeed enforcing such a policy?

That’s right. Sorry, it’s a complicated situation for partners who are caught in the middle of this. There was supposed to be a statement this week but it’s delayed as folks continue to try to find a solution.

Sorry, but nothing prevents YsNet/Deep Silver to give backers a key for the trial version and then convert it to the final release. I feel you're basically shifting the blame on Valve from the begining despite not even trying. Keys can be generated as the game as been approved.

I would assume, that there is a difference between pre-orders and kickstarter projects. A pre-order is basically a pre-purchase, where the normal rev split applies. The money from kickstarter backers goes 100% directly to the developers. Right?

You should be happy to pay their backers refunds.
