Here’s a tweet storm on the topic of “Why Exclusives”?https://twitter.com/TimSweeneyEpic/status/1143669644877815810 …

Ah I see so instead of Steam being the dominant store. You want to be the dominant store? While I agree that makes perfect sense as a good business decision. That's just trading one devil for another. Seems rather pointless. I have 1,793 games on Steam. Why would I move to EGS?

That’s kind of the whole point

100% agree. http://GOG.com 's features are ways better than Steam ones, but they are still a very minor shop. They have exclusive games, but only old ones. That's a niche.

So literally Epic doesn't give a sh*t what the customer wants, they get the choice out of the people hand. Their only problem is them not being the dominant storefront.

The epic store is on Crappy Games wiki.

I believe that paying for exclusivity should be outlawed as an anti-consumer practice.

Well the whole buying exclusives things wouldn't be so bad if the egs client actually had some basic features and functions. Feels like a massive downgrade from steam and even origin or gog at this point. Also being a security nightmare doesn't help.

You'd be surprised how making a store more pro user would in the long term be good for you. How long till EGS realises this I wonder...
