Here’s an example of activist journalism done right. The writer takes his editorial flamethrower to Epic and the industry at large, while including complete primary source material. This arms the reader with facts and opinions from which to form an independent judgment.https://twitter.com/TheChrisWray/status/1142219471043670016 …

I wish you would allow any competition to your store. I would take the option of a stand alone install of a game and epic version. Just ANY amount of choice between EGS and something. I don't need steam, I just want an option that is not EGS. Then id probably buy on EGS.

you can install the game and run the exe. You dont even have to use the launcher once its installed

I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never buy anything from epic games. I don't like exclusivity. Period. I want bl3 more than any other game this year but i absolutely refuse to buy it from your Epic featureless unsafe store. No game is worth having to use Epic.

I hope you give Breath of the Wild and God of War a try, it would be a shame to miss out on games due to exclusivity.

I see people being emotionally attached to game / app storefronts as suffering from a form of digital Stockholm Syndrome. It's kind of sad. People should simply learn some empathy for devs who are sick of paying highway robbery type fares (30%!).
-
Or maybe they are upset that Epic is buying exclusives in an attempt to drag people to their feature-poor store. Ideally a game should be available on all stores, Epic's included. I think the fact that Epic gives 88% should be enough for people to switch without exclusivity.

How about giving refundes for kickstarter projects you fleeced away from the funders?
