We like the idea of investing in Wine because it would enable all PC developers to achieve Linux compatibility with a small amount of additional testing work, rather than a large amount of porting and maintenance work.

Timmy, some people just don't like change. Whether it harms or benefits them is irrelevant. They'll fight it either way. Looks like a Mac geek vs a Linux geek arguement. Just finish your store.

Actually I think WINE is the one hope for breaking the cycle. If most PC games were automatically compatible with Linux, it would greatly increase the viability of Linux as a consumer platform.
