The Kickstarter situation is tricky because, as best as we understand Valve policy, the only way the developers can make Steam keys available to backers is if they offer their game for sale publicly to everyone on Steam with the store taking 30%.

My god. The manner in which you try to dance around the issue of exclusivity and pretend that everyone else is unreasonable or arguing in bad faith is insane. Everyone wants devs to make what they deserve. Achieve that change by providing a better marketplace.

Better question, why you been targeting finish, or large games as of late, instead of indie devs that's seeking funds, and such? Why push the cost onto the users? Why seek 3rd party service, if you couldn't hosted the service yourself? Was it something todo with cutting into 12%?
