This was an evidence-backed statement, that the majority of developers are either unsure or do not believe @steam_games justifies it's 30% cut. (Caveats, of course, but the benefit of the doubt here.)
So, just like before, let's put this through our Critical Thinking test.https://twitter.com/TimSweeneyEpic/status/1140385601579081730 …

Thank you. That's a second piece of qualitative data and that clearly spells out methodology. Doesn't really answer the influences on developers. The "Why". My question to you, Tim: Do you genuinely believe Epic earns it's 12% from devs with EGS? How could it be better?

I am actually liking the method and approach of
@larsiusprime on a lot of his blogs. I'd be very interested to hear an update to how he laid things out in this blog:https://www.fortressofdoors.com/so-you-want-to-compete-with-steam-2/ …

Lars, what I'd honestly be interested in hearing is more broad than Steam. I want to hear the thoughts about other platforms. Obviously, devs are more upset at Apple to the point of lawsuit, but that's also because Apple has a legitimate monopoly on that market.

What in particular do you want to know?

Developers opinions on whether the cut is fair are invalid. Of course they want more money.

Sample sizes are miniscule. 2018 survey had all of 167 respondents and no options to say why. Any stats major would laugh this shit out the door

I encourage you to do your own, better survey :) Here's a starting point for a methodology you could use!https://www.fortressofdoors.com/how-to-scientifically-survey-all-of-steam/ …

Why not make a survey about consumers thoughts if
@EpicGames earned their 12% revenue share? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
