We’re working on lots of new features. Things like cloud saves have taken longer than we expected because so much effort has gone into infrastructure ahead of visible storefront features.

To see that we aren’t aiming to divide communities, just look at Fortnite and Dauntless (interoperable across 7 platforms, with an Epic store on only 2), and Epic Online Services, which support all platforms and storefronts, with no mantatory Epic Games store entanglement.

Compare to Steam friends, for example. This social feature can only be used on PC/Mac, and only from games that are launched by the Steam client. These players are walled off from players on other stores and other platforms.

That just comes with the territory when shaking up the industry for the better, Valve went through the hate as well in the earlier days,people feeling Valve was attacking PC gaming in general.

Tim, nobody is arguing against the 12% cut. Absolutely nobody. Nobody cares that you're going after Steam. What we care about is you using your money to force gamers to use your barebones, unsecured store that provides a terrible user experience.
