How about Epic adopts a new strategy and improves their launcher and stops pissing off PC gamers every chance they can get by screwing them over. But we all know that won't happen.

The wrinkle is that Steam bundles a community ecosystem together with a storefront and 30% tax. So Epic’s robust competition for developers and publishers with 12% and exclusives can be misread as an attack on the Steam community, though we’re only contesting for the storefront.

To see that we aren’t aiming to divide communities, just look at Fortnite and Dauntless (interoperable across 7 platforms, with an Epic store on only 2), and Epic Online Services, which support all platforms and storefronts, with no mantatory Epic Games store entanglement.

", we wouldn’t want to divide a multi-store PC game’s community" you already do divide pc games community with exclusivity
-
Epic’s “attack on PC gaming in general” consists of making certain games available for purchase by clicking on one icon instead of the other, and paying the developer or publisher of the game 18% more than the other icon pays.

You're already dividing the community via those exclusivity deals though...

In that case I would like the forums for all these games would be on 1 site then (or at least as few as possible) that supports all platforms so you only need a few (preferably 1) login. If it's separate sites for each game then that's a lot of accounts you need.
