Btw. it's interesting how selective you pick your answers. But now, that we are in a conversation: 1) working conditions/crunch at Epic 2) EGS lack of feats 3) exclusives monopoly 4) Epic Sale fallout... Or do you want to ignore the criticism again?

Yes, we work hard, and everyone here shares in Epic’s success. Yes, we launched with a minimal feature set and will be expanding it. Yes, copyright gives developers a monopoly on their creations, and they work with publishers and stores as they choose to earn a living from it.

@TimSweeneyEpic so many haters just wanted to say thanks for the new marketplace, EOS, and new sales model. When can we get a cloud solution for developing the game partially in the cloud on the client? (like HeroEngine and Lumberyard)Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You made a significant loss with every copy in the sale. In fact you need almost 2:1 copies pre/post-sale vs. on-sale to just break even. And that applies to ALL games with the 10€/$ discount. Is this what you meant with sustainable business model?
-
We’ve found it’s much more cost-effective to bring in new customers by giving away free games and by running the sale than by advertising online, and the benefits go straight to gamers and developers rather than Google or Facebook. Yes, it’s sustainable. Most stores advertise.
