Of course those features cost money to develop - you should have still had them implemented ASAP into your launcher. Yet here we are still with 95% of Steam's awesome pro-consumer features missing, with you even saying you'll never implement certain ones. Shame.
Thing is, they had that FN money before the store was even launched. They well and truly knew they could afford some decent R&D on their storefront client, competitor studies and all. They just chose not to, and instead went with a cheque book and contract deals.
It's been 7 months and a shopping cart is still on the long term roadmap. Stop throwing money at publishers and developers to keep their games off of Steam/GoG and start throwing money at your launcher to make it into something actually good. That's all we're asking for.
working hard i see https://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/news/epic-games-store-to-get-cloud-saves-by-february-1977474 … https://www.techspot.com/news/80159-epic-games-store-blocks-user-accounts-making-many.html … and we see how the game devs who go epic exclusive treat consumers too
How are you estimating the cost of said features? Why didn't you wait until more features (like a cart?) were ready before launch? Cost can't be an issue if you can afford to give away games.
