What is your preferred platform to play games on?

So they’d prefer to limit their options then? “hey guys let’s cut out the largest platform in PC gaming because Tim’s a real good guy.”. You’re the one forcing the exclusivity. Leave them the option to distribute across vendors and see if your service comes out on top.

This perfectly illustrates the goal of Epic's exclusives strategy: total market control. All the PR speech about Steam monopoly, bringing competition and improving the PC market is just hypocrisy at its best.

Please tell me you are joking. There is literally nothing with Steam services. The Steam platform offer so much for dev and players that the 30% is understandable. EGS cut is also understandable since you offer nothing for player or dev.

I want to see you have all the features Steam has and keep your store at the current split. Bet you can’t do it.

Those big games will hit the 80 percent barrier fast on Steam. It's closer to 8 percent as these companies makes more money by selling many more copies on Steam and not deal with a pr nightmare.

To demand exclusivity is to demand that we use a store that is objectively inferior and treats the consumer as a third class citizen. They should put it on both and let people choose. These exclusivity deals are born out of pure greed and disregard for customers.

This must be the reason Microsoft is bringing their games to Steam: https://www.vg247.com/2019/05/30/gears-5-steam-20-microsoft-games/ … "We know millions of PC gamers trust Steam as a great source to buy PC games and we’ve heard the feedback that PC gamers would like choice."

Face it
@TimSweeneyEpic you've lost this argument. Companies and consumers alike want there to be a choice. The only one who dosen't want it is you because you know that in the Epic store's current lazily put together state you stand no chance on the open market. - 5 more replies
