Why 12%? We chose this number to provide a super-competitive deal for partners while building an enduring and profitable store business for Epic. From that 12%, we net around 5% after direct costs and that could grow to 6-7% with greater economies of scale.

Q: why didn't you launch your Epic Games store feature complete in the first place? Why do you keep offering Devs/publishers money for games already announced for other platforms why not only games not announced a platform yet? I know business & good will don't go hand in hand
-
But still it would help loads if you didn't keep taking games off other platforms if you could only by milk at 1 store say Walmart even tho it used to be everywhere else it would suck you get where gamer from?

That is probably also why publishers pulled their games from the store during your sale. Bad business practice altogether, seems like they didn't even know about it. No response from Epic at all. Very consumer unfriendly just like buying exclusives for big sums.

@TimSweeneyEpic Could you maybe fix your game? Turbo building doesn't work and no one wants to listen :D I really want to support you and play your games but with this practice its something people cant get behind when you just ignore game breaking bugs :Dhttps://www.twitch.tv/videos/422755401 …Thanks. i wonder what happened to vampire maskerade 2 then... and did actually supergiant scam epic (and epic's costumers) with the price switcharoo? awesome to see you catering for those who are important to you (the publishers) but it looks like they are in it just for the money.

Basically you now bribe devs/pubs for exclusivity and customers to buy those games. This is getting ridiculous.
-
Epic are definitely splashing the cash but the Devs & publishers can say no.

I have a question, I guess it got ignored in the crowd. Why didn't you do this in the beginning? Offer games at a discount and pay off the difference? You'd of avoided the angry backlash by offering consumers an actual better price.
-
That's doesn't force the market in your direction tho & They need forced market share for some reason, what it seems like to me anyway.
