Anybody speaking for or on behalf of Epic makes their Epic association clearly visible online. When we’ve run paid promotional campaigns (such as with streamers when Fortnite launched), they’re clearly identified with #ad or similar.

Honest question, when does customer experience and the actual gamer side of this conversation will be addressed ? Why do you believe that customer experience should take a backseat in all of this ?

See the Epic Games store roadmap here: https://trello.com/b/GXLc34hk/epic-games-store-roadmap …. And another big thing is in the works, stay tuned!

What "discussion about the relationship between gamers and developers" are you talking about if developers seem to be not interested in that discussion at all?
-
Here's what this discussion looks like now Publishers: *does the thing that can disappoint most of their customers* Customers: *get disappointed* Publishers:pic.twitter.com/FDfZXwgfzF

Review bombing and the nastiness you are calling out is the only tool the end users have. You fear for lively hoods but that is the only thing end users have control of. So that's what happens when you piss off the masses by buying and removing rocket league from steam.
-
I love that they're a upset by, and noticing the review bombing
It means it's working and it's having the desired impact. Seeing how much @TimSweeneyEpic likes analogies: What the blind "Epic" is doing is the equivalent of yelling "Stop Protesting!" at protestors. - 2 more replies

While I support several of your ambitions, you can't expect a "healthy discussion" when one side is confronted with a fait accompli. Epic made the choice to approach this topic by (market) brute force instead of persuasion. You should have known better how some gamers react.

They're also fucking over Linux users when it comes to Easy Anti-Cheat as Epic have bought that now, Steam were working with them to get Linux support afaik, that's gone out the window now they're literally taking games away from people using a different OS to Apple or Windows

Work on Epic Games Launcher so that it matches Steam User Experience and people will consider going there...

Hell even provide more. If Epic is able to offer support to devs if crossplay with their Unreal games was possible I may very well pick up BL3 fhere
