Such a move would be a glorious moment in the history of PC gaming, and would have a sweeping impact on other platforms for generations to come. Then stores could go back to just being nice places to buy stuff, rather than the Game Developer IRS.
listen i hate exclusives as much as the next guy thats actually one of the reasons i started pc gaming but that being said steam definitely did and probably still does have a practical monoply i mean tell me the last time you bought a game on not steam that isnt like origin
We’re not avoiding EGS because we’re loyal to Steam. In fact, many of us do have and use other launchers. We’re avoiding EGS because it’s just bad. Your practices are anti-consumer, your platform sucks, and your personal attitude is even worse.

Also, Tim's concern for developers rings hollow when so many Epic employees are trapped in 80 hour work weeks. Why is so much money being thrown at publishers of other games when it should be spent addressing the burdens of one's own employees?
Any source on that 80 hour work week? That’s 12 hours a day 7 days a week. I call BS
At this point, I'm really starting to wonder why Epic Game Store exists. It seems more like the byproduct of someone's desperate efforts to get Valve's attention. Yet no matter how much money they're willing to burn, they'll never get noticed.
tfw you keep attempting to eat Valve's market share but GabeN-senpai still won't notice you
