Why 12%? We chose this number to provide a super-competitive deal for partners while building an enduring and profitable store business for Epic. From that 12%, we net around 5% after direct costs and that could grow to 6-7% with greater economies of scale.

Do a few things and I’ll use your store. 1. Make the review system not “opt in” and make it mandatory 2. Stop taking games that were already announced for Steam. 3. Eat the transaction fees on the consumers end like Steam does. And maybe stop calling Tencent “friends” too

Tim, can we expect any news soon on any updates to the store? I'm guessing around E3 time though?

It shouldn’t be. You should be taking a larger cut so you can use that money for a better service and do things like eat transaction fees the way Steam does.

It boggles my mind the number of people who state that the 88/12 does not benefit developers at all and only the publishers. Its like these people don't know about self publishing devs and devs with a publishing partner where they get a % of the revenue as well that are on EGS

Doesn’t really matter if it benefits some entitled developers. We are consumers so our priority should be what’s best for us.
