Why 12%? We chose this number to provide a super-competitive deal for partners while building an enduring and profitable store business for Epic. From that 12%, we net around 5% after direct costs and that could grow to 6-7% with greater economies of scale.

And no one else loves them, no one in the gaming community asked for this. If you wanted to compete with steam you should do so in features and have your 12% cut as a big esentive to come to EGS. Buying out games just puts a bad taste in people's mouths.

12% isn't enough to compete. You need a userbase, which you will only get via exclusive deals. It sucks for gamers right now, but due to competition it will be good in the long run.

Clever sidestep of the rest of the very real bullet points.

The rest of that matrix is mostly just a todo list of cool features to add to the epic store in the coming years.
-
Not to mention several of those things such as offline play already exist on EGS

This was an image I used to have but I lost the original so I took it off of google, but I obviously don't agree with the Spyware, it's been debunked already https://forum.facepunch.com/general/bvnqr/Epic-Games-Store-Is-Shit-But-It-s-Not-Spyware/1/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app …

Well then can anyone explain about the time when Epic Launcher stole our Steam userdata? If it was not sold for the Chinese for profits then i do not know what is it used for...

And the reason no one likes your store except the "select" few. Keep at it, being anti-comsumer is a great strategy. I was excited for EGS before the exclusivity bs. Now it can burn in a fire for all I care. You know damn well you can't compete.

I laugh every time someone uses that as an excuse. If China is spying on anyone it would be Steam as a huge amount of Chinese speaking gamers actually belong to steam..They hate for their people to have any outlet for self expression

It's best when they post it on Facebook. I mean, that shit knows everything about everyone
