@DuvalMagic @TimSweeneyEpic also as a long-time developer myself can I point out EGS is a Web app for all intents and purposes and the features on the roadmap, the WHOLE roadmap could be "one-click installed" on CMS built sites by layman? Just saying, months? Really?
Though the storefront is PC only, the underlying services (such as cloud saves and matchmaking) have to scale to support >10M peak concurrent users across 7 platforms and be partitioned to isolate each individual product’s data at exabyte scales.

which is a solid argument. That said, it becomes even more troubling that the backend service (Fortnite?) Is directly connected to, EGS is reliant upon is inside the equation. How many hours a day are those services under DDoS? Just guessing 24? Sadly, Security is a hard battle.

All game services (Epic, Steam, PSN, Xbox Live, etc) are targets of DDOS attacks and all have proven quite robust.

As a newbie in games store and stuff, matchmaking is needed in the store for what? Isn’t that in game only?
