in order for it to actually benefit devs you'd need to sell more copies on Epic than on EVERY other platform. Which you won't because your user base hasn't reached those levels. So cut-and-dried you're hurting developers by reducing the amount of copy sales they make X% of.

glad metro sells well on EGS. What's the basis of your assumptions that it wouldn't sell just as well on EGS if it was also available on Steam or GoG? Exclusivity potentially helps Epic but doesn't help 4A any more than non-exclusive on EGS without a cash bonus, right?
-
honestly the exclusivity deal is hurting both the dev and the publisher. sales are far lower than what was projected on steam, not to mention the refunds they had to pay out, and loss of future revenue as gamers stop buying their games due to the loss of trust.

based on the numbers you guys stated, sales were pretty low. 2.5x more than last light is not a lot
-
How many Last Light sold on Steam? What is your source on how many Last Light sold on Steam in the same time frame? Also remember for exodus it is 2.5x more + what sold through Steam + physical version. Also how do you know that the expected sales were by pub/dev

If the sales are so strong, when are you going to release some actual numbers? For any game, for that matter? And none of that vague 2.5x nonsense.
