Your tactics are doing the exact opposite. If you just signed games and sold them cheaper, helped the developers we'd all shop there willingly. This would all be a non issue

But the “30% is too high” argument absolutely holds on Android (where we distribute Fortnite directly rather than through Google Play) and iOS (which I have argued should open up.)

Wait, you defend consoles because of R&D costs (even though it's AMD that does the hard work these days), but you forget the fact that Google/Apple also have R&D costs? Hell, Apple makes the fastest ARM cores in the market! Why shouldn't PC-based consoles open up as well?

Don't deflect. It's irrelevant how console economics work for platform holders like Sony or MS. We are obviously talking about 3rd parties and what they get at the end of the food chain. 70%! And why exactly it's a bad thing when Steam does 30/25/20%?

When a console is subsidized, the lower price results in a larger user base and more developer revenue than would be achieved if the hardware were sold at full price but the store charged a lower fee. Valve doesn’t pay part of the cost PCs nor enlarge the PC market by doing so.
