That's the thing. I believe we should have the freedom to choose. Even with the way the revenue structures are we all agree those need to change. If Epic wanted to be at the forefront and make that a big message I would be celebrating that. As long as they did it in their lane

I understand what you are trying to say but it's hard to believe when micro transactions, dlc, multiple season passes are getting out of control. I understand devs and publishers will seek more profit, it just seems at the end of the day the customer suffers for it.

I understand. The whole game business is struggling for a new foundation following the decline of retail and the rise of digital distribution. Unfortunately, mobile F2P games and “whale monetization” mechanics set a bad precedent that’s hard for big companies to unwind.

This is a myth! The money is ALREADY there. Publishers made record profits in recent years, despite the usual 70/30 split. But there were ZERO benefits in terms of more reinvestments, better games or lower prices for consumer. Sorry, you just make a claim you can't proof.
