@TimSweeneyEpic Hey question y did you launch epic games store without a shopping cart, offline play or cloud saves?
For example, we believe in the separation between stores and forums. In a world where one game may be on many stores across many platforms, we think it's better to rely on store-independent forums.

Another difference is that we believe in the separation between stores and friend systems, so we're building these services not as Epic Games store features but as general online features supporting all stores and platforms. So from this logic would you ever sell steam keys?

Why exactly should forums be independent? Why are reviews optional? I think people sharing information is good. Especially with so many incomplete buggy disasters coming out.

Fortnite is an example of the benefit of store-independent forums. It runs on 7 platforms and supports many languages. Most Fortnite discussion topics on Reddit are platform-neutral and there's way more momentum than if it were fragmented between 7 ecosystems.

All it would take for me to want to use epic is knowing that my purchase better supports the devs. You however have forced me not to buy from EGS by being anti consumer with 3rd party exclusives.
