If it were only that simple. The tactic is to buy exclusivity and undercut other suppliers until they no longer can sustain and are snuffed out. Then Epic can jack up rates without consequence because there is no competition.

Epic is providing a better deal to devs. It's competition. It's good. It stops a valve monopoly. I just wanted to know about the steam friend's list integration and got my answer there. Thanks for the clarifications once again.

Valve's 2017 Revenue: $4.7bn Valve has estimated 360 employees 30% of $4.7bn divided by 360 is $3.6mil. Now tier that down from top to bottom. Gabe likely makes around 100-150 times the average employee. Seems pretty on par to me.
