So you've spent 6 months doing everything possible to hurt Steam and suddenly you care about whether these deals are fair to Valve or not? That's rich. More than anything, people just want you to STOP LYING.
Epic’s goal isn’t to hurt Steam. It’s to bring gamers into our store and services and give them a better deal. Whether this hurts Steam or ultimately makes Valve a more effective competitor is up to them much more than us.
So prior deals were more of a you reaching out to make a deal, and now you'd like to focus more on developers reaching out to try and make one? I think that's what you're getting at, and I can understand and completely respect that on Epics part.
And yet you are paying publishers to prevent them from making bussiness with Steam even when they are already being sold and advertised there, and that is fair to Valve? What a hypocrite.
I think this is normal and not hypocritical. Devs and pubs have every right to decide how to sell their game. Epic makes them an offer. They can seek a better offer from Valve. Valve can beat our offer if they choose. Devs can choose to accept an offer or remain non-exclusive.
