As a backer, I was really excited about having this on @GOGcom. It was originally promised to backers w/ keys for Steam & GOG. This is a bait & switch, nothing more. Very disappointed & refund requested.

Good, stay committed to that honestly. The outrage crowd at the moment are a minor nuisance, they'll adapt or they won't, but it won't matter. I remember when Steam faced similar criticisms about their launcher, along with Origin and Uplay. Keep improving the platform! Good luck!

That’s not even close. The “outrage crowd” as you put it is upset that it backed a game, because it supported either one of the stores they wanted. Then at the last minute that developer pulled a bait and switch. That’s not ok.

Exclusives are the only thing that Epic store can do to FORCE people to use it, and they cant compeat with other stores due to lack of features and anti-consumer practices.

I totally get you have to build your catalogue, and your brand but exclusives don’t work. Look to the music streaming industry. It failed there, and arguably just set people up to hate the provider, and wait it out till it went elsewhere.

How many people downloaded Origin just to get their hands on Apex? How many people downloaded it just to play Battlefield? Exclusives work, it's a solid strategy. Music is an entirely different ballgame and industry.

So, instead of winning over people by the quality of your store, and the games you offer, your customer service you are just going to force people to use your store to play certain games? You could offer more free games on your store as an incentive but NO exclusives

Exclusives are a vile and underhanded anti-consumer method. If you want customers then provide a store people want to use. There is no excuse not to have the features everyone wants. If you did that and did not do these exclusive deals then people would go to your store.

Because of this I won't even grab the free games from you, let alone spend a dime. If you had created a proper store then it could have resided beside the rest, but now you are known as someone tearing our industry apart. That's not even touching the issues with Tencent.
