It’s one thing for someone ignorant of the pre-App Store past to overlook how things used to be, but you know better. So Apple should now be constrained because the App Store was a success, even though they have nothing close to approaching a monopoly in any way, shaper or form?
How so? Certainly all stores ultimately aim to make a profit - we certainly do! The difference is that we offer developers far better terms than the competition: 88% versus 70%.

It's a good thing to give developers better value but your conditioning that as it MUST be exclusive to get that benefit. That then hurts consumers! you're doing the very thing you accused MS of doing. Let the store stand on its own merits!

Not sure where you got the "they must be exclusive to get that benefit", it isn't true. There are other games on the Epic Games Store that aren't exclusive and are also on Steam - all getting the 88/12 split. The developers that go exclusive do so under their own choice.
