It’s one thing for someone ignorant of the pre-App Store past to overlook how things used to be, but you know better. So Apple should now be constrained because the App Store was a success, even though they have nothing close to approaching a monopoly in any way, shaper or form?

I believe owners of iOS devices have a fundamental right to install software of their choosing. In the Information Age, freedom simply can’t exist if 1 or 2 companies are granted a monopoly on digital distribution and commerce.

Just because you believe it doesn’t mean that current anti-trust law and regulations in the US agree. We can’t co-opt Apple, iOS and their App Store just because it grew to a certain size. Good or bad, you aren’t guaranteed that right today.

Apple could do that, but in no world should they HAVE TO. That is the issue here. The barrel of the bureaucratic gun. Consumers have a very clear choice in that regard right now, and that’s good. It would be nice if MS had gotten their act together and there would be a solid 3rd.

isn't that exactly what your company is doing poaching games that were being marketed on other platforms and then bullying them into being epic store exclusives without even letting them tell consumers that it's happening.
