Hey, @TimSweeneyEpic, could we get some clarification on Epic's storefront doing huge damage to the PC ecosystem with exclusives, in relation to your comments from 2016 decrying someone else doing the same thing? https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/mar/04/microsoft-monopolise-pc-games-development-epic-games-gears-of-war …
Yes, I totally understood. I feel the same frustration about Amazon-Netflix-HBO-Disney exclusivity: “Why can’t everyone work together to sell me the stuff I want in the store I prefer?” The answer is generally the same, that stores are taking more than the creators feel is fair.

Which is absolutely a fair point, the only remaining issue is, you win, producers of content win, but what is the end customer getting out of this arrangement other than inconvenience? Throw us a bone, Tim! You gave them a reason to come, give us one!

I have the best idea should just built a all in one launcher and then you can link your epic and uplay and steam and origin then you can access there store and buy games on what ever and see all your games in one launcher

Agreed! Would love to see software update and the like become operating systems build on open standards and protocols.

Stop making lame excuses, your platform is a mess and is a displeasure to use, you should have spent the funds making it usable before trying to force us onto it, as a result instead getting new customers, you've made new enemies.

This. While I respect a company trying to be agile, this crossed the line into recklessness. Taking down Steam will be a marathon, not a sprint. It won’t happen in a single year, and it certainly won’t happen if Epic just alienates the very customers it needs to attract.

You're missing the point Tim. You didn't create anything here or provide customer incentive. You removed the open nature of the platform for profit. This isn't about us vs devs for capital. This is about gamers vs you and the publishers. Devs are caught in the middle- your fault.
