Hey, @TimSweeneyEpic, could we get some clarification on Epic's storefront doing huge damage to the PC ecosystem with exclusives, in relation to your comments from 2016 decrying someone else doing the same thing? https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/mar/04/microsoft-monopolise-pc-games-development-epic-games-gears-of-war …

Do you at least understand why many of us find the idea of exclusivity on the PC to be so frustrating? And while I'm glad the devs are getting something out of this, what do we get out of this exclusivity? Because it looks like I just get...to install yet another launcher.

Yes, I totally understood. I feel the same frustration about Amazon-Netflix-HBO-Disney exclusivity: “Why can’t everyone work together to sell me the stuff I want in the store I prefer?” The answer is generally the same, that stores are taking more than the creators feel is fair.

i really don't understand why people are attacking EGS and criticizing for lack of features , i remember when steam was launched and it was just bare bones and was made only for Halfe life 2 , you can't get everything first day ...

Steam in 2003 wasn't competing with Steam in 2019 and buying exclusivity off of a better service.

But perhaps you can see why these moves upset your potential customers. Hopefully this is the last exclusive you've secured, and a year from now people will choose to buy from Epic or not based on features and not because you removed the customer's choice.
