So @TimSweeneyEpic... Are exclusives ok now if they benefit you? https://www.pcgamer.com/epic-ceo-tim-sweeney-pummels-microsofts-uwp-initiative/ … Or are you going to keep pretending you were talking about something different?

There I am criticizing Microsoft “curtailing users’ freedom to install full-featured PC software, and subverting the rights of developers and publishers to maintain a direct relationship with their customers”, not exclusives.

The Subtitle of your answer is exclusives are good. My opinion is competition is very important but walling things apart encourage the wrong type of competition. You should want to compete on pricing not on access.

Steam has veto power over prices, so if a multi-store developer wishes to sell their game for a lower price on the Epic Games store than Steam, then: 1) Valve can simply say “no” 2) Pricing disparity would likely anger Steam users, leading to review bombing, etc

'Memba? "It's great for Microsoft to compete with ChromeOS, but NOT BY LOCKING OUT COMPETING WINDOWS SOFTWARE STORES." Quote from some hypocrite.

You criticized Microsoft for locking THEIR OWN games/software behind the MS Store/Windows. Now you are PAYING THIRD PARTY developers to lock their games to the Epic Fail Store

Paid Exclusivity is a move towards monopoly and the exact opposite of creating and driving competition in the market.

I for one would prefer a price disparity over exclusives. I really like what you're doing with the epic store by like the idea of being able to choose to pay more for a while to keep my games in one place sometimes until I've decided I wanna switch

His McDonald's and Burger King analogy was God awful horrible. Correct I've never seen McDonald's lock up the Whopper but then again McDonald's doesn't make the Whopper. Trying to justify the fact that they don't publish anything anymore is hilarious
