Let’s look at it another way! A 4K screen has 8M pixels, and the Nyquist limit bounds the among of data that can usefully contribute to a single pixel. This card provides 64KB of unique data storage per-pixel that you can read every frame!

It was fun GPU to work on, I know I be picking one up when it comes out. When I retire I have good stories about bringing up that GPU.

No, VR require 90fps so only 11-12GB can be read at a time. But you need room for tmp data and preloaded content. I think 18GB or 24GB will be next step to get good VR. Or better, all in shader without texture and 4GB can be enough...
