A big Reddit discussion on stores, launchers, exclusives, and data practices (with a couple new posts from me on the Epic Games store): https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/a9lntx/ubisoft_needs_to_stop_with_this_always_online/eckm02v/?sort=new …
As long as other stores have anticompetitive terms required for access (such as Valve requiring games on Steam to sell at the same or lower price than elsewhere, despite Valve taking 30% versus 12%), competition requires exclusives.

"You can't sell outside of our store" seems a lot more anticompetitive but sure.

Where are the other stores selling Epic Launcher titles?

You're claiming Valve is being anticompetitive for requiring games to be sold at the same price (false, it's only for the base price. Nothing prevents you to discount like GMG or Humble Store does) and yet you're the store doing exclusives. Which means not even selling elsewhere

Nothing prevented you from launching your own storefront with your 12% cut and selling drm free titles and steam keys. The reality is, you want your own walled garden despite Steam being the thing holding the platform altogether (1/2)

It is very easy for anyone and completely unprofessional to just sit around and point all the negatives of your competitor . I really wanted to buy TWD Final season but now I will not thanks to you and I own all seasons on Steam .
