A big Reddit discussion on stores, launchers, exclusives, and data practices (with a couple new posts from me on the Epic Games store): https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/a9lntx/ubisoft_needs_to_stop_with_this_always_online/eckm02v/?sort=new …
It’s increasing in that Google and Apple stores now display ads for competing games ahead of organic search results. So 30% is now just the cost of being a second-class citizen. If you want your game to come up first when searching for it, that’s 40%, 50%, maybe more.

Sorry but I don't believe in your "pro-competition" approach when it's literally the opposite. When you buy exclusives, you stop competition. You're basically making your own walled garden. Today, your store is basically this:pic.twitter.com/lFKzAbUp6A

As long as other stores have anticompetitive terms required for access (such as Valve requiring games on Steam to sell at the same or lower price than elsewhere, despite Valve taking 30% versus 12%), competition requires exclusives.

You should say that openly then, instead of hiding it in a reply. Your wording makes it look like Steam is doing that as well, which is false.
