I think what they are worry is that journalist are used as a tool against the state. Like printing negative pieces provided by the enemy. However the state uses journalist as state propaganda all the time. It is a tricky valance even so closing the door to leaks is really bad.

I do not believe WikiLeaks acts as a journalistic agency. They dump entire documents repositories without concern for ongoing operations or people's lives. Given the same corpus, journalists work to prevent unnecessary harm.
