And why don't you ditch iOS platform? Because you have no alternative. And until there will be an iOS which wins because Apple leaves no alternative and people let iOS take those kind of margins does this make sense? The outcome of such decision is a let down to Android's users.

I never understood the line of reasoning that since one giant tech company blocks all competing software stores, that we ought to give all of the other giant tech companies 30% of OUR revenue out of “fairness”.

Are you unfamiliar with the concept of using a highly profitable venture to fund very expensive ventures with high potential? Amazon uses AWS to pay for almost everything else they have that is cheap.

What’s Amazon’s markup on the cost of buying and running physical server hardware, maybe 30%? Cloud hosting is a super competitive market, unlike smartphone app stores, which markup their actual cost by 400-500%.

The real change should be to force who doesn't leave alternatives to give alternatives or to lower down the price-cut. At that point, giving the same service to every user in every platform, this kind of outcome will have some sense. What I see now is just 'mo money, mo money, ..
