If an OS vendor obstructed an Epic product in this manner, they’d find themselves in court on three continents.https://www.ghacks.net/2018/09/12/microsoft-intercepting-firefox-chrome-installation-on-windows-10/ …

I wish Edge were a better browser. I’d happily switch from Chome if Edge didn’t have such a flickery, quirky UI that feels misproportioned and tablety.

Can you give an example? I know Chrome is better at some things, but I haven’t found UI to be one of them. (Edge in dark theme looks way better, too) And aren’t things basically the same size as in Chrome?

Good questions. Sometime in the next few days I’ll try to find time to dig in and post a writeup.

In Edge, I generally see much more flicker / web page being reformatted as I try to read it; janky right-click menu; text selection is quirky and hard to get right; and UI just feels weirdly flat and rectangular, making it harder to visually separate browser from page.
