Can't argue with that. What were the publisher cuts before digital distribution? I know it was a lot and I'm glad that's not a necessity any more.

In non-digital publishing deals, the publisher typically took 60-75%, and provided project funding, marketing, and manufacturing. Digital 30% fees were a big improvement over that, but 15 years in all of the dividends of increased efficiency have gone to stores, not developers.
