I have a smart pointer based 100% lock-free, non-blocking background GC that is even atomic-free for all mutator-thread operations (using the wicked FlushProcessWriteBuffers trick), with 1:8 overhead for tracking. Easy to extend to generational collection.

No, UE4 uses a simple stop-the-world mark and sweep on ordinary pointers to objects derived from a built-in base class.
