No, UE4 uses a simple stop-the-world mark and sweep on ordinary pointers to objects derived from a built-in base class.

The GC is quite awesome. Immutable objects can be relocated anytime after construction, but ordinary mutable objects can’t. This is fine when going all-in on a transactional memory abstraction as I’m attempting to do (though viability is still uncertain).
